Pastor Judy is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, but graduated high school in Winthrop, Minnesota. After a year at St. Olaf College, she graduated from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa in 1997 and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, Berkeley, California in 2004. She has also taught English in Japan through the JET program and served a year in the Lutheran Volunteer Corps. After her ordination in 2004, she moved to the Louisville, Kentucky area and served three congregations.
She met her husband Dan in Louisville and they have three children. They moved to Bellevue in 2013 and she joined the Cross of Christ staff in 2017. She enjoys reading, hiking, and camping and leads two Girl Scout troops. While she loves eating every kind of berry, she doesn’t like melons.
